This is it: The grand finale of 2021. We’ve survived another very weird year, in part because we’ve been (virtually) together in TRX Training Club®.
Historically, most of us skip a few sweat sessions in December. We get it. Your usual TRX Live class may not fit into your schedule when you’re dealing with end-of-year deadlines, shopping, and holiday travel. That’s why we’re showcasing new On-Demand offerings that you can stream whenever you want. Trust us: You can get a great workout in just 15 minutes with TRX On-Demand.
Introducing Core STRONG
Have you recovered from Zach Van Wagoner’s Core START series? Then it’s time to level up to Core STRONG with our new trainer, Tara Lyn Emerson. Tara’s 6-part Core STRONG series comes in 15-20 minute sessions that can be adapted to absolutely any fitness level. It’s a tough program, but Tara is there with expert tips and friendly encouragement through every plank, pike, and burpee. (Spoiler alert: There are burpees.)
Age Strong II is coming
The next chapter of Trent David’s wildly popular Age Strong program drops this month, with more classes to help you get strong in any phase of life. According to the CDC, regular strength training can help prevent osteoporosis and frailty by stimulating the growth of muscle and bone. Even if you’re new to strength training, Trent’s programs will help you get comfortable with the TRX Suspension Trainer™ and work toward a stronger, healthier body.
Like SMART goals? Try a Benchmark class!
Forget vague fitness goals like “get stronger” or “run faster;” the surest path to success is through SMART goals. That means specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-based. TRX Training Club is making those SMART goals a little smarter with Benchmark classes.
Here’s the drill. In a Benchmark class, you measure your baseline performance on a particular challenge, so you can compare it at a specific, later date. For example, if there’s a TRX Row challenge to complete as many reps as possible in one minute, you would count how many reps you finish in the first week, and track your progress in another week, two weeks, or month. The key is to track the same workout in the same amount of time to determine if you’re increasing your rep count.
On Wednesday, December 1, we’re kicking off our Benchmark series with Jay Brockway’s Full Body Strong and Full Body START Benchmark sessions, plus a Full Body SWEAT class with Marisa Gonzalez.
Keep your notebook and a pencil handy to document your baseline, then retake the same class via Replay at the end of the month to see how far you’ve come. (If you can’t take the Live class on Wednesday, each of these sessions will be available on Replay for our unlimited TRX Training Club subscribers.)
And if you really want to maximize your Benchmark workouts, consider adding a TRX Suspension Training Mat to your routine. The metered lines on the Suspension Training Mat are another way to measure your progress because they help you visualize increased resistance.
Never Sweat Alone
Tis the season of giving—why not give your friends a free, 10-day trial of TRX Training Club? We’ve made it super easy by adding a gift icon on the TRX app and TRX Training Club homepage. TTC members can share 10-day guest passes with friends, so round up your virtual crew and schedule a class together.
Even when life gets busy, it’s important to move. If you have time for a TRX Live class, book it early and add it to your calendar as a way to reserve that time for yourself. If TRX On Demand is a better fit this month, you can still block time daily—either for strength training or a recovery session—to stay on track. However you use TRX Training Club, let’s finish 2021 stronger than we started it.
